Marcin Danilewski
Marcin Danilewski – is concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. He graduated from the Frédéric Chopin in Warsaw, where he studied under the supervision of professor Krzysztof Jakowicz. He also perfected his skills at the famous "Mozarteum" University in Salzburg, in the class of professor I. Ozim. He is a laureate of many prestigious competitions, including P. Czajkowski in Kurashiki in Japan, A. Januszajtis in Gdańsk and a finalist of the T. Wroński competition in Warsaw.The artist also performs as a soloist alongside many famous orchestras such as West Side Sinfonietta, St. Moritz Chamber Orchestra, and Camerata Pontresina. He performed with them concertos by P. Tchaikovsky, F. Mendelsohn, M. Moszkowski, L. Berstein-Serenade, W. A. Mozart, concertos in A major and G major, and A. Piazzolla – Four Seasons, M. Richter's 'Recomposed'. He is also a respected chamber musician. He regularly plays with the Lutosławski Quartet, Silius Trio, Camerata Galicjana, the NFM Salon Orchestra, and the NFM Ensemble. Marcin Danilewski is also a promoter of Polish music, an important part of his repertoire are works by Polish composers, including Szymanowski, Penderecki, Lutosławski, Meyer, Dobrzyński, Chopin, J. Wieniawski, Panufnik.
As a guest concertmaster, he cooperates with many orchestras and ensembles Mozarteum Orchester, Lower Silesian Philharmonic, Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie, I, Culture Orchestra, Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin.
In July 2020, the first solo album of Marcin Danilewski Moritz Moszkowski was released by CD-Accord under the patronage of Program 2 of Polish Radio with Moszkowski's concerto in C major.
Marcin Danilewski is, together with Paweł Maślanka, the founder and artistic director of the West Side Sinfonietta. He plays the 1800 violin by Raffaele and Antonio Gagliano.
